Kia ora Member,
The Te Whatu Ora bargaining directions survey is now open.
Click here to complete the survey.
In the survey members will choose between two directions that will give the NZNO bargaining team a clear steer on where to go next with your bargaining. The survey will close next Tuesday 17 February at 5pm.
Direction 1: The bargaining team continues to press for our claims and we continue to campaign to support them. We understand that in order to move Te Whatu Ora and the Government, we will need to continue to maintain pressure through industrial action and political action (as this is election year). If members choose this direction we would continue to plan more industrial action and more rounds of bargaining. This is the preference of your bargaining team. This could include further rounds of partial strikes, national strikes, alongside local actions such as the visibility strikes as are currently underway in Canterbury, Taupō, Whangarei and formerly in Waitematā.
Direction 2: That we move towards a collective agreement based on the current position of bargaining. If members choose this option we would seek to formalise the current Te Whatu Ora position as indicated in the latest bargaining. Members would then be asked to vote on whether to accept this offer. If accepted, we would conclude collective bargaining for this round. If rejected, we go back to more bargaining and industrial & political action.
